Oil Changes

Transmission Servicing

The transmission is one of the hardest-working systems in your VW. It takes the energy produced by the engine and focuses it through the gears so your vehicle can move at the required speed. It’s a highly complex system, with countless parts that must work together flawlessly to deliver power to the wheels. A transmission service involves checking and testing the transmission to ensure it’s working as efficiently as it’s designed to.

We drain and test the old transmission fluid, then install a new transmission filter and new fluid. Transmission components are inspected for wear and tear and replaced if necessary, and the transmission seals and gaskets are checked to ensure there are no leaks. The transmission is then resealed, and the casing is cleaned to prevent dirt or debris from entering it.

Brake Servicing

The brakes rely on pressure and force to work efficiently, and combined with the heat generated by braking, this will cause parts to wear over time. Worn brake components make driving dangerous, as they can slow braking responsiveness. In addition, some components, like the brake pads, wear thinner as they work due to friction and need regular replacement.

Our technicians will carefully examine your braking system and test each component. They check the brake hoses and brake lines for leaks, as leaking brake fluid will cause brake failure. The brake master cylinder, calipers, and other components are tested to ensure they’re working correctly. We’ll also drain and replace the brake fluid, as older fluid can absorb water and overheat.

6 Tips to Keep Your VW’s Suspension in Top Shape

Yearly Inspections

Wheel Alignments

Tire Rotations

Tires become unevenly worn due to differing weight at either end of the car and pressure from steering and braking. As the tires grow uneven in tread wear and size, the suspension becomes increasingly strained. Have your tires rotated every six months to prevent this.

Air Pressure Checks

Even improper tire inflation can cause premature wear in the suspension. Overinflated tires can no longer help the shocks to absorb roughness in the road, which puts more pressure on the suspension. 

If just one tire is under- or over-inflated, the resulting imbalance will also wear the suspension down. Always keep your tires properly inflated for the sake of your safety and suspension.

Smooth Driving

It will also help your suspension to avoid hard braking and sharp corners. If you adopt more gentle driving habits, your suspension will thank you with a longer lifespan. If possible, avoid rough road surfaces, potholes, and anything that jolts or puts excess pressure on the wheels.
