New Volkswagen Tiguan Longview, TX

Versatility. And that's just for starters.

Starting at $24,995*

Buyers looking for a nimble, smooth and well-appointed compact crossover SUV, the 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan fits the bill. Much of what has made the Tiguan a popular model in a highly competitive class remains in place for the 2017 model year. Independent reviews have highly praised the VW compact crossover SUV for having a premium interior made up of some of the best materials used in the class. Additionally, the entire platform is powered by a very lively powertrain which is eager to stretch its legs.

When compared to the previous version, the 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan retains its most popular features and attributes. However, some changes have been made to the crossover SUVs trim grades. The middle-of-the-road SE and R-Line trims have been replaced the Wolfsburg Edition and Sport grades. Sharp-eyed observers may also notice that the touchscreen at the top of the center stack now measures 6.3 inches. The overall technology profile of the Tiguan has improved as well with the addition of VW Car-Net applications and satellite radio.

New Trim Grades

New Trim Grades

The first of the new trim grades for the 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan is the Wolfsburg Edition. On top of what is standard with the vehicle’s entry-level model, the new trim adds a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and a power reclining passenger seat. New Sport-trimmed versions use adaptive Xenon headlights, foglights and cornering lights. Owners will also have LED daytime running lights, sport-tuned suspension and driver memory settings. This is the trim that offers GPS navigation capability.

Sporty Performance

Sporty Performance

Under the hood of each version of the 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan sits a very capable turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine making 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Owners that would like some extra peace of mind can choose to have all-wheel drive instead. During independent testing, a front-wheel drive version of the 2017 Tiguan was clocked accelerating from zero-to-60 mph in about 7.5 seconds, an excellent time.

Connectivity Options

Connectivity Options

New Volkswagen buyers will be very impressed with the level of technology available with the 2017 VW Tiguan. Each of the available trims comes with a system or two which enhances connectivity or safety. Bluetooth options for streaming music are nearly universally standard as is the Volkswagen Car-Net App-connect system. Owners who use Apple and Android smartphones can connect those devices to the infotainment system.
